Increasing revenue in a growing business requires the right brand messaging, marketing, advertising and sales efforts. Most businesses are doing some of what they need to do but are not maximizing their efforts in all areas to attract their target audience, maintain existing clients and acquire repeat business.

logo & brand

What is your company brand all about? How are you unique in the market place? How do you stand out from your competitors?

Do you have a logo for your business? Is it easily recognizable and does it help build brand awareness? What do the hues you have selected reveal about your business?  Do you have a tag line that reflects your core values and mission?

Is marketing collateral consistent from website, social media, business cards and brochures? It is important to maintain consistency to provide a cohesive look and promote brand awareness.

web-site

Your web-site is the backbone of your marketing infrastructure. It is the first place prospects go to to find out more about what you do and it can help your business or drive business away.

Make sure your web-site entices people to connect and learn more. Provide details about your product or service. Include a compelling offer to connect and create urgency in your offer. Add value and stay in contact over time to stay top of mind.

get social

It is important to have an online presence including reviews where your target audience is searching; think Google Business, Yelp and business pages on Facebook and LinkedIn.

As you post, keep in mind that you should be adding value. While people may want to know more about the product or service you offer, do not make it all about you and what you are selling. No one wants to be sold to over and over. Refer back to your company brand and think about how you can add value.

All of this will help attract your target audience to connect with you and learn more. Once they find your stellar web-site with details of what you do and why they should choose you, you can stay a step ahead of your competition.

networking & more

In generating revenue, there is no silver bullet.  You cannot just sell, market or network. Select Connect can connect you with the right resources to help with the initial steps in creating your infrastructure which includes logo/brand, website and social media pages. We believe having this in place is key as it will help you attract and retain connections after meeting them. Skipping this can result in loosing business to competitors who have given mindful consideration in these areas.

Once you have the basics in place, you can start with organic marketing on your own or allow the experts to assist you with lead generation strategies that are BYOB (below your organizational budget). They are focused on helping you get a ROI (Return On Your Investment) These experts partner with you in developing strategies to attract your target audience and produce leads who have indicated an interest in what you have to offer.

Additionally, networking is another area we feel is important to a company's success. Whether you are part of an official networking group or working with referral partner's, relationships with other business owners is a great way to give and receive introductions to your target audience.

Remember, networking is different than selling. In the book "Networking: Naked & Unafraid" by Kathryn Crawford Wheat, she defines networking as "having a conversation with no destination in mind." Listen to the other person. If you can help them with anything, try. If you know of someone that might be a great connection for them, be a connector. The more people who know, like and trust you, the better. Keep people top of mind and watch the law of reciprocity work.
